- The article and video were created by a civil rights organization that supports “bail reform” in New York and the United States.

Exercise
- Pretend a friend of yours asked you to explain “bail reform” and why some people support bail reform and why other people might oppose bail reform. Your friend is not from the United States and does not understand the following words:
- bail
- felony
- misdemeanor
- plea deal
2. Write an explanation to your friend in English that will enable your friend to understand the article. As with other assignments, do not copy information from the internet or use automated translation software as you will otherwise not get credit for the assignment.
